Lawrence Halprin graduated from Cornell University in 1939, University of Wisconsin in 1941, and Harvard University in 1942. He has played an important role in the advancement of landscape architecture over the years. A few of his major contributions and projects include Seattle World's Fair and Civic Center, Hebrew University and Medical Center, and Washington Water and Power Company. He was essential in the completion and success of these projects and several others. This lead to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1969.
