Since founding the firm in 1972, Ed Black has served as president of H. Edward Black and Associates, P.C. His career mission is to demonstrate that landscape architects are team leaders "from the walls out," a focus that took root in 1974, when he was appointed to the Pennsylvania State Board of Landscape Architects. In 2015, he will be president of the Pennsylvania State Association of First Class Township Commissioners. Throughout his career, he has worked in cooperation with architects and engineers as the state developed, and reaffirmed its landscape architect's practice act. Through his firm's design work and his public leadership roles, he has demonstrated the value of the vital contributions of landscape architects.
