Firm: HM White Site Architects, New York City Education: BA, Bucknell University; MLA, Harvard Graduate School of Design ASLA Chapter: New York Category: Works
Henry White's designs, often in collaboration with distinguished architects and urban planners, are widely published. He emerged as a force during a time when New York City set out to redevelop the waterfront, streetscapes, parks and other open spaces. His work spans the New York Times Lobby Garden to the reclamation of Staten Island's waterfront into a marine park, and landscape designs of such cultural institutions as the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's Visitor Center landscape, and the Wildlife Conservation Society's Center for Global Conservation, which exemplify ecological engineering principles and beautiful high-performance landscapes.
