Colin Franklin often works with local, readily available and inexpensive materials to blend and transform them into poetic places. Throughout his career, he has led the way in the creation of synergy among science, engineering and design. His lifelong commitment is to preserve and revitalize the unique cultural and natural resources of each place and reinforce the best in new development. He was an early proponent of biodiversity, natural stormwater drainage and warned of the dangers of global warming. He has worked around the world solving complex real estate issues on very large scales.
