Christopher Brown's portfolio shows his love and respect for nature and native materials. In the mid-1980s, he established the Native Plant Protection Ordinance and Hillside Overlay Method to protect the areas around Scottsdale and Phoenix from rampant development. Those guidelines are still in use today. As a writer, lecturer, and educator, he freely shares his knowledge through compelling interpretation and education. His credo, after the fieldwork is done, is: ''If nobody knows you did anything, then you did a good job.'' To view more 2012 ASLA Class of Fellows please click here.
