Education: Master of Landscape Architecture, University of Virginia; Master of Fine Arts, California Institute of the Arts; Bachelor of Fine Arts, James Madison University Most notable professional accomplishments: My career has included collaborating with clients to preserve, rehabilitate, and interpret some of the most important cultural landscapes and historic sites in the United States including Jamestown Island, the University of Virginia, Valley Forge, Pearl Harbor, Gettysburg, Mount Vernon, Grand Canyon Village, the Presidio of San Francisco, the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Valley, and Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I have contributed to sustaining the design legacy of Dan Kiley through my leadership roles in the completion of the Landscape Master Plan for Washington Dulles International Airport, the General Management Plan for the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial?EUR??,,????'?????<??oethe Gateway Arch site in St. Louis, and the landscape architectural recommendations included in the Master Facilities Plan for the East Wing of the National Gallery of Art. Thoughts on being elected to the Council of Fellows: My election to the Council of Fellows reflects not only my individual accomplishments but also the important contributions of the many landscape architects, designers, and planners that I collaborated with on a number of important projects over the past several years. I am particularly grateful to Land & Community Associates principals Genevieve Keller, Tim Keller, FASLA, and Robert Melnick, FASLA ?EUR??,,????'?????<??oe national leaders in the historic preservation field ?EUR??,,????'?????<??oe for sharing their knowledge and providing guidance during my entry into a practice that focused on cultural landscapes.
