ASLA Chapter: Washington State Category: Works Firm: GAYNOR, Inc., Seattle, Wash. Education: BSLA, Purdue University, 1975 ''with highest distinction'' Undergraduate studies in biology/ecology and music Most notable professional accomplishments: Being at the vanguard of ecological design, including urban habitat restoration & creek daylighting, often with community support and involvement. Thoughts on being elected to the Council of Fellows: As a non-tradtional practitioner of landscape architecture and small firm owner who has consistently pushed the envelop, taken risks and not spent much time on promotion, I am surprised and pleased to be recognized by my profession at the national level. I now know I haven't been toiling in obscurity!
