Heather Kinkade has published research and advocated extensively for the conservation, collection, and reuse of water. Also an internationally recognized authority on low-impact development, alternative water supplies, and using water as an energy source, she excels at turning research into reality. She gets the best information available into the hands of the right decision makers across the design professions and with the general public. With National Geographic, she is starting a general-circulation rainwater harvesting magazine. And with Engineers without Borders she has undertaken a five-year project to install rainwater systems in schools in Honduras.
