As a research social scientist with the USDA Forest Service Northern Research Station?EUR??,,????'???s ?EUR??,,????'??People and Their Environments?EUR??,,????'?? office in metropolitan Chicago, Paul Gobster?EUR??,,????'???s principal research focus has been to understand how urban people perceive, use and value natural landscapes. The outcomes of this work include improved public education efforts, improved guidelines for designing and managing natural areas for people, and support for policy alternatives.
