Most notable professional accomplishments: My Most notable professional accomplishments include a series of planning and design projects over the past twenty years that have contributed to the transformation of the urban waterfront in my home city of San Francisco; and my recent involvement as the Landscape Principal for the design of the Martin Luther King National Memorial on the Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: For me, the honor of being named a Fellow is a validation of the importance of my particular contributions to the profession. It underscores the importance of public space design and the role that landscape architects can play in shaping cities.
