Most notable professional accomplishments:

I believe that what I, along with my many colleagues over the years at the Maryland State Highway Administration, have been able to accomplish is a program that has benefited many communities and neighborhoods and humanized the state highway network in Maryland by bringing the perspective of landscape architecture into the planning, design, construction and maintenance process. This I feel has resulted in Maryland?EUR??,,????'???s highways being safe and attractive in the varied contexts in which they traverse.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: Personally, becoming an ASLA Fellow brings both humbling and proud feelings. To know that throughout the breadth of what the profession offers, there is recognition of the positive impact that a landscape architect can make in the transportation field is extremely rewarding and fulfilling and I can only hope that the role of landscape architects in transportation continues to grow and be recognized.
