Most notable professional accomplishments:

I am most proud of the visibility I have been able to bring to the profession of landscape architecture through the work I have done in my career, and the organizations I have served. My single most significant accomplishment was founding Landscapes/Paysages, the Canadian Journal of Landscape Architecture, serving as its editor for four years and seeing it flourish today. As a professor of landscape architecture, my second career, I am tremendously proud of all the students I have taught and to know these graduates are making contributions every day that enrich the lives of people and the landscapes in which they live.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: Becoming a Fellow of the ASLA signifies for me the culmination of a life well lived, both professionally and personally. Because of landscape architecture, my life has been filled with endless opportunities for creative work, achieved within the fellowship of students, clients and colleagues around the world whom I both like and respect. I have enjoyed so many dimensions of my professional life and feel very fortunate to have my contributions recognized through this honor of being made ASLA Fellow.
