Most notable professional accomplishments:

  • During my 12 years of public service with the Department of State's Office of Overseas Buildings Operations, I have been actively involved in more than 70 major embassy and consulate design and construction projects in 60 countries on five continents. I have visited and analyzed project sites in more than 50 countries from Oslo, Norway to South Africa. From Sao Paulo, Brazil to Hanoi, Vietnam, to Canberra, Australia. I believe a major significant accomplishment has been to elevate the role of landscape architects to significant levels in the design of our new embassy projects.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows:It makes me appreciative of my colleagues in and out of the ASLA who supported my candidacy.
