  • Fourteen years as lead designer at Oehme, van Sweden & Associates, Inc. where I was the designer and project manager for the USFWS National Training Center in West Virginia; the 160-acre farm and garden for Oprah Winfrey in Indiana, the German-American Friendship Garden on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and the 8-acre recreation facility at Nelson A. Rockefeller Park in New York City.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows:As one of the highest honors in my profession, I am honored to be selected to this noble Council of Fellows. I promise to uphold the highest standards of the profession, to maintain and enhance the integrity of nature in its wildest form, and to continue to work with the land in an integrated way so that man and nature may coexist in harmony.
