Most notable professional accomplishments:

  • My most significant accomplishment is having become a successful liaison between my students and the profession. Combining my ongoing professional experience and design exploration with scholarly inquiry and high academic standards, I have shared with my students a reverence for materials, the expectation of craftsmanship, and a healthy respect for both natural and cultural history.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows:Becoming a Fellow places me in a league with some of the most historically significant figures in landscape architecture. This is certainly a great honor, especially in light of my familiarity with the accomplishments of the Fellows of ASLA through the database that my students and I have been developing this year.
