Most notable professional accomplishments:

  • I suspect that my most significant accomplishment is the recordation of my work, travels, and thought in a collection of journal/sketchbooks kept over the last 30 years. Initiated with my first studies in Italy, I continue to carry and maintain a log of my work in sketchbook form. The collection of some 40 bound sketchbooks traces the development of observation and thought associated with my project work and my career as a landscape architect.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows:Becoming a Fellow places me in the company of people whose talents, energy and dedication I admire immensely. I see it as a kind of career plateau, but also recognize that it must be a platform from which I rededicate myself to good work. And while I consider it a significant personal accomplishment, I know full well that nothing I do today is done in isolation.
