Most notable professional accomplishments:

  • Wrote the first landscape architecture week proclamation (1979). Worked with the state senate and house to correct errors in the municipalities planning code that conflicted with state license law restricting the practice of landscape architecture (1992-1996).

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows:That I stand in the company of the fewer than 900 notables of the past 105 years who included the likes of Fredrick Law Olmsted, John and Phillip Simonds, Bill Swain, Lawrence Halprin, Hideo Sasaki, Peter Walker, Dennis Otsuji, Don Leslie, Len Hopper and so many more. I hope to be able to live up to it.
