• Service to students, to communities and to the profession has been the hallmark of my career. My service to students has been richly rewarded in observing the growth of my current students and in seeing my former students succeed in many ways in this and other professions. Service to communities, through service learning projects and private consulting, has been rewarded in seeing people enjoy built environments created with my guidance.

Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows:Being elected into the fellowship of so many great landscape architects and educators is truly a humbling experience. It is a great pleasure to join colleagues, and especially former students, in this group.
