Thoughts on being elected to Council of Fellows: It is wonderful to be recognized by ASLA for community service. Landscape architects provide a great benefit to our profession as well as our communities through involvement with grassroots efforts, boards, commissions and community organizations. Landscape Architects have a unique way of looking at the environment and development - one that is comprehensive and interdependent. We can provide great awareness of our natural environment to those who may miss its importance. Likewise, we have a great responsibility to speak for the environment and integrate sustainable practices into our projects and our lives.
