  • 2001 International Cosmos Prize for ?EUR??,,????'??contributions to the harmonious co-existence of nature and humankind.?EUR??,,????'?? The award committee cited my work as integrating nature and city, science and art, the ecological and the cultural. I am the only designer, planner, or artist to receive this award and the first woman.
  • 2002 National Design Award Finalist.
    The West Philadelphia Landscape Project (1987 to the present), which has been featured in newspaper articles, professional journals, national radio and television broadcasts, and international conferences and symposia. WPLP won this year's Community Service Award from ASLA
  • 1998, the publication of my book, The Language of Landscape
  • 1984 My book, The Granite Garden: Urban Nature and Human Design won the President's Award of Excellence, ASLA
