Education: BSLA, Iowa State University; MLA, University of Illinois Years in Profession: 40 Member of ASLA since: 1961 ASLA Chapter: Southern California Category: Knowledge "After receiving a degree from Iowa State University, I left the rolling glaciated prairies of Iowa and headed to California holding tightly to my small town values. My passions for a lifelong commitment to a profession of deep conviction for the land and life were my future. Following five years of private practice, I arrived in graduate school and a full-time teaching appointment at the University of Illinois. I found myself back in that glaciated prairie where, with an exposure to Stanley White?EUR??,,????'???s legacy, those passions began to catch fire. I have taught at six different universities and believe that students are the legacies we educators give to society and represent all that we hope for in the profession. They are our future and we must continue to help them in their achievements. I find myself now looking forward to another part of the journey, as a Fellow in ASLA."
