Broad knowledge is an essential ingredient for design. My most fond memory occurred on March 5, 1999 in New York City. As the Chairman of the ASLA New York Chapter Annual Conference, I had the pleasure of inviting a dozen landscape architecture practitioners and academics as well as a few architects. The discussion was focused on "The American Landscape" and "What Happened to Modernism." This was the most enjoyable and exciting moment I had with a group of colleagues.?EUR??,,????'??
