William B. Kuhl graduated from State University of New York at Syracuse in 1967 and New York State University Urban Planning in 1972. Kuhl found an interest in urban design and streetscapes as well as hotel, park, and campus design. His main focus of work has been in New York, but he has been a large part of several major projects all along the east coast. He has received numerous awards for his success in landscape architecture. In 2013 he was the recipient of the ASLA Outstanding Service to the Society Award which is an example of his success. This led to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1996.
