J. Ronald Lieber graduated from Cornell University in 1959 and the University of Pennsylvania in 1966. He has aided with the advancement of landscape architecture and has helped the ASLA by being the Chairperson for the awards program in the Florida chapter. He has been a recipient of many awards recognizing his achievements. Such awards include the Superior Design Award from the National Landscape Association in 1990. He was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1994.
