Donald W. Leslie graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1965 and the University of Michigan in 1967. Leslie was interested in design and construction technology and also improving the education system. He has received numerous awards for his success in landscape architecture. In 1998 he received the Alumni Achievement Award, College of Arts and Architecture, Penn State in 2002 and in 1998 he received the Alumni Achievement Award. This led to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1988.
