Brian S. Kubota graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1975. Kubota was fascinated by the world of landscape architecture and pursued a career in this field. He became very successful in this line of work and received several awards acknowledging his achievements. Such awards include the Small Business Person of the Month for the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce in 1987, the ASLA Honor Award from the Lawrence Town Center in 1982, and the Public Service Award from the General Services Administration, Federal Office Building, Topeka, Kansas in 1976.This led to his induction as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1988.
