Darwina L. Neal graduated from Pennsylvania State University inn 1965 and Catholic University in 1970. Throughout her entire career she has been heavily involved in the designing, managing, and maintaining parks and other monuments. Her career has taken her all over the landscaping field including projects at the White House. She was the recipient of the Alumni Achievement Award from Pennsylvania State University College of Arts and Architecture Alumni Society in 1980. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects in 1982.
