By Jodie Carter, regional editor

The recent Farm and Ranch Irrigation Survey will be released at the International Irrigation show in Florida this November, says Irrigation Association director, Tom Kimmell.

According to Kimmell, the irrigation survey, the third to debut at an Irrigation Association (IA) trade show, combined with the 2002 Census of Agriculture will provide the most detailed picture of irrigation in the United States since the last irrigation survey in 1998.

If you?EUR??,,????'???re involved in irrigation, including landscape, turf, golf or agriculture, you need to attend the world?EUR??,,????'???s largest show totally dedicated to irrigation. For the second year in a row, the U.S. Department of Commerce has designated the International Irrigation Show as an International Buyer Program Show, which means products and technologies from a worldwide network of manufacturers will be on display.

A recent poll of exhibitors and attendees at the 2003 International Irrigation Show in San Diego revealed growing satisfaction among those who participated. Exhibitors cited industry visibility and contact with new and existing customers as the top reasons for participating. Attendees said their main objectives were visiting exhibits, networking and education as well as keeping up with industry trends.

The irrigation survey and farm census are conducted by the National Agricultural Statistics Service, which is part of U.S. Department of Agriculture.
