Environmental Commitment Post Awarded for Landscape Designs ATLANTA, GA Founder and CEO John A. Williams of Post Properties, Inc.--developers and operators of upscale multi-family apartment communities in the Southeastern and Southwestern United States--was awarded the coveted Cynthia Pratt Laughlin Medal at an annual meeting in Virginia by The Garden Club of America. The Laughlin Medal is presented for outstanding achievement in environmental protection and quality of life maintenance. Williams and Post were cited for innovative landscape designs and creative uses of plant material. He explained, "For almost 30 years landscaping excellence and exterior appearance have been an integral part of our development process. It is extremely important that our residents, customers and neighbors have a wonderful experience as they look upon our communities. Landscape greatly enhances this experience and the good feeling we want associated with our communities." Post Landscape Services, a subsidiary of Post Properties--now called Post Landscape Group, provided more than $5 million in revenue to the company's bottom line in 1997. Post Landscape Services draws on company experience to provide landscape planning, installation and maintenance to residential and commercial properties not owned or affiliated with Post Properties.
