Current associate and full-fledged ASLA members shared words of wisdom and encouragement for Landscape Architecture Graduates in The Field, the official networking blog for ASLA members.

 
Both seasoned professionals, professors, and recent graduates gave their thoughts on successfully entering the industry and remaining connected to their profession and fellow landscape architects. Of the 10 people who contributed, almost everyone mentioned the importance and benefits of seeking mentors, networking, and volunteering in some capacity to get connected with other professionals and with the community each one serves. The contributors also repeatedly mentioned the need to remain curious and seek learning opportunities, stating that learning about the profession does not end once the graduates finish school.
