Education-Business Sessions are a new category in the lineup of Technical Sessions at the 27th Annual International Irrigation Show in San Antonio. Colorado contractor Laurence Budd will talk about how some contractors thrive when water restrictions are imposed by positioning themselves as “water conservation specialists.” In another presentation, Leslie Martien of Aquacraft Inc. explains water budgets as a conservation strategy and how water budgets can be a flexible water management tool. These and other Education-Business Sessions are offered the morning of Nov. 7.

Technical Sessions, which run throughout the show, also include 35 technical topics for agriculture and 20 for turf/landscape. Agriculture topics include case studies and research on re-use water, climate-base irrigation scheduling, new innovations, advances in sprinkler and center pivot technologies, and other topics. Landscape presentations include rainwater harvesting, an update on the Environmental Protection Agency WaterSense program, irrigation auditing, using multiple and alternative water sources, climate-based scheduling, and more.
