Dragon's Dome Goes Synthetic

Players Turf International has been selected as the exclusive provider and installer of synthetic turf at the new Dragon's Dome indoor sports complex in Pekin, Ill., the largest indoor sports complex in Illinois, with over 75,000 square feet of indoor athletic fields and a walking track.

The facility will host softball, soccer and basketball games, and trade shows and conventions. An outdoor softball complex, including four diamonds with concessions areas, is scheduled for completion in 2005.

The fibers of the synthetic turf are made of the softest yarn available and is said to have the look and performance of grass.
