New contract aimed at identifying new funding methods by Staff
The California Department of Pesticide Regulation (DPR) announced they agreed on a new contract that is aimed at identifying new funding methods to maintain the state's pest management program and accelerate the transition to safer and more sustainable pest management methods. The new contract is with Crowe LLC, a Sacramento based company that will assist DPR in examining their current and future funding structure. The main focus of the contract will be to evaluate the mill assessment which is a $0.021 fee charged on each dollar of pesticide sales in California. It is the main source of income for DPR.
