The National Association of Professional Women in Landscape (NAPWL) will host a viewing of the documentary Women in the Dirt during the 2011 Landscape Expo.
The documentary film by Carolann Stoney celebrates seven women who have paved the way for future landscape architects. Their projects combine awareness of architectural and landscape principles, concern with sustainability, safety and beauty. The scope of their work ranges from private homes to vast public projects.
Through conversations with the landscape architects in their offices, or in the spaces they?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)?EUR??,,????'????ve designed, the film explores each woman?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)?EUR??,,????'????s personal aesthetics and approach to their discipline. The film will be shown continuously starting at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 12 during the Landscape Expo at the Long Beach (Calif.) Convention Center.
The National Association of Professional Women in Landscape propels women architects, consultants, contractors, designers, engineers, business owners, executives and pioneers in the landscape industry, towards greater professionalism, expertise, profitability, achievement and power economically and environmentally.
The Landscape Expo is the premier landscape industry event on the west coast, connecting landscape design, build and maintenance professionals with vendors, showcasing the latest tools, equipment, products and design elements needed to create and maintain commercial and residential landscapes.
In addition to the exhibits, the show offers numerous educational seminars in eight key tracks that will help you grow your business and increase your skills and knowledge. Most seminars qualify for various CEU?EUR??,,????'?????<???????????????????????(R)?EUR??,,????'????s that may be required to maintain specific licenses.
