DEWALT® has expanded its offering of professional-grade battery-powered outdoor power equipment. The expansion adds a 40V MAX* brushless backpack blower and 40V MAX* brushless chainsaw to the existing 40V MAX* system.

The 40V MAX* Brushless Backpack Blower generates up to 450 cubic feet per minute of air volume at 140 MPH and will be available with one or two of the new 40V MAX* 7.5Ah Lithium Ion batteries. Only one battery is required to operate the tool, but the backpack blower features two battery wells for extended runtime.

The activation switch on the handle allows the user to choose which battery to pull energy from or to lock the tool off for transport and storage. The speed control features a full variable trigger and speed lock that is activated or de-activated with the push of a button.

At just 63 decibels the backpack blower is compliant with noise-restricted areas across the U.S. and is ideal for working on noise-sensitive properties such as at schools, hotels, hospitals, offices, parks, retirement communities and more.

The 40V MAX* brushless chainsaw is equipped with a powerful motor that achieves up to 100 cuts per charge. The unit features a low kickback 16" Oregon® bar and chain with LubriLink™ and LubriWell® auto-oiling for continuous lubrication and a tool-free tensioning system for quick bar and chain adjustments.

The chainsaw delivers smooth cuts, long chain life, and no engine maintenance like gas-powered chainsaws. With no more of the pull-to-start issues associated with gas-powered equipment, this chainsaw is ideal for use in landscape and construction applications, even in closed spaces.
