“Deborah is a well-qualified association professional and will bring many new ideas and enthusiasm to our association,” said IA President Ken Mills, who led the search to replace retiring Executive Director Tom Kimmell.

Hamlin, a graduate of State University College in Oneonta, N.Y., has a master’s degree in business administration from Rockhurst College, Kansas, Mo.

Hamlin began her career managing state and regional trade and professional associations through an association management company in Delmar, N.Y., later becoming director of organization services for the New York State Nurses Association. Hamlin then managed certification programs and publications for several organizations for Applied Measurement Professionals Inc. before moving to the International Association of Plastics Distributors in 1996.
