The board of The Cultural Landscape Foundation (TCLF) has selected Charles Birnbaum, FASLA, FAAR as the foundation?EUR??,,????'?????<

TCLF, founded in 1998, is a not-for-profit foundation in Washington, D.C. that seeks to increase the public?EUR??,,????'?????<

Mr. Birnbaum has 15 years as coordinator of the National Park Service Historic Landscape Initiative, and a decade in private practice with a focus on landscape preservation.

Birnbaum is author of Making Postwar Landscapes Visible, co-author of Pioneers of American Landscape Design, which documents the lives and design work of 162 landscape practitioners, and co-editor of Design with Culture: Claiming America?EUR??,,????'?????<.

Birnbaum served as a Loeb Fellow at Harvard?EUR??,,????'?????<

Birnbaum notes that TCLF has some $1.2 million in assets to advance its mission through the website. TCLF has unveiled ?EUR??,,????'?????<

TCLF, for the third year in a row, will hold a silent auction at the annual ASLA meeting, this year in San Francisco.
