Cultivate a Garden, not a Lawn

 

Haeg asserts that removing front lawns and replacing them with vegetable/fruit gardens will get people more in touch with the environment and their neighbors.

Los Angeles-based architect Fritz Haeg thinks front lawns are basically status symbols that serves no purpose other than looking pretty. His new cause is a movement to replace front lawns with productive fruit and vegetable gardens.
