CRSI Announces 2004 Design and Merit Award Winners

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.?EUR??,,????'??+The Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute has announced the winners and merit awards of its 17th biennial Design Awards Competition.

The competition recognizes superb examples of quality and innovation in reinforced concrete design throughout North America.

The Design Award winners include the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, Texas; Pulitzer Foundation for the Arts, St. Louis; Wilsonville Water Treatment Plant, Wilsonville, Ore.; Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center, Seattle; Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art, Cincinnati; and the Leonard P. Zakim Bunker Hill Bridge, Boston.

The Merit Award winners, selected for exemplary achievement in one or several areas of design accomplishment include the Orange Coast College Educational Arts center, Costa Mesa, Calif.; Entry Pavilion Parking Structure, Monterey, Calif.; Richard Bolling Federal Building, North Entrance, Kansas City, MO.; Madison Gas & Electric?EUR??,,????'??+East Campus Substation Screenwall, Madison, Wisc.; and the Sixth Street Viaduct, Milwaukee.
