Crest Lake is centrally located in Clearwater, with both residential and retail adjacencies, and integrates its everyday uses of play, picnicking, relaxation, and exercise amidst a functioning landscape that captures, treats, and celebrates stormwater before it enters the Lake. The team worked to enhance and revitalize Crest Lake Park by working with an ecologist to develop strategies to improve the water quality with a series of rain gardens and lake edge treatments. The plan enhances canopy areas with supplemental trees and plantings, and includes shade pavilions, boardwalks and dock overlooks, a splash pad, a nature-themed playground, and an update to the existing memorial. The park's program and facilities are robust to meet the community's desires and all elements are strategically woven into the landscape for an unforgettable yet everyday experience.
