Legends Design Studio created a new landscape utilizing varied paving styles to create interest, including the driveway, courtyard entrance to house, gates to protect the home, fountains to create interest (inside and outside), an outdoor kitchen, dining room with heater, fire pit with seat walls and furniture for sitting. They also added a spa off the bedroom area, deck for viewing the ocean, vegetable garden, bamboo wall, planters/pots, decorative panels, and trellises to hide the unattractive existing stucco walls. The lighting was designed to accentuate the features after dusk. The original spa was sunken into the middle of the rear yard. It was removed with all existing concrete paving in the entire property.

 

The upcoming Hardscapes Issue of Landscape Architect and Specifier News saw many firms submit their projects for feature consideration. This project was not chosen for a Feature in the issue, but we at LandscapeArchitect.com thought the project deserved to be showcased online . . .
