CONCORD, Mass., - Several sites in New Hampshire are being considered for development by the Senate's Environmental and Public Works Committee. Mine Falls Brook and the Wiswal Dam will be investigated by the Corps of Engineers for their potential for aquatic ecosystem restoration.

Recent Congressional action authorized an environmental study of the Merrimack River Basin in southern New Hampshire and northern Massachusetts which could result in as much as $500 million in combined sewer overflow projects.
