A landscape contractor in Asbury Park, N.J. has created a memorial to help the community honor four local victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terror attacks. The landscape architect who helped design the structure worked across the street from one of the twin towers.
“The whole thing is about three children without a dad and a widow,” said George Christianson, owner of Christianson Landscaping. “You don’t feel like you’re working here. You’re here because your heart is here.”
The monument, which was dedicated this Sept. 11, honors the memory of four residents who lost their lives in the World Trade Center: Todd Pelino, Kaleen Pezzuti, Ted Luckett and Edmund McNally.
“This is close to my heart. I was a friend to Todd, who lived across the street,” he said.
