LASN recently reported on the new plans to revitalize Coney Island in Brooklyn The NYC Department of Parks is now replacing dilapidated stretches of the Coney Island boardwalk with concrete-based planks. The old boardwalk, certainly a quintessential part of the old amusement park, will soon be that only in name. Of course, some people are complaining about the change of this ?EUR??,,????'?????< ?EUR??,,????'?????< The concrete walk will no doubt be a little warmer on the feet than the wood, but New Yorkers are certainly habituated to concrete walks. Compared to the hot summer sand, the concrete will feel cool, if not look cool. |
