The California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA) is pleased to announce its Water Management Certification Program has been added to the Landscape Architecture Continuing Education System (LA CES). LA CES is a collaboration of the American Society of Landscape Architects, Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, Council of Educators in Landscape Architecture, Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards, Landscape Architectural Accreditation Board, and the Landscape Architecture Foundation. This program establishes and maintains standards for professional development and continuing education programs for landscape architects.

Last summer, Governor Schwarzenegger called for a 20% reduction in urban per capita water use by 2020. Water conservation has become such a high priority that many cities, counties and utilities are also offering rebates for reduced water usage. The shortage of water is not only a big problem in California, but also worldwide. According to the United Nations, nearly two thirds of the world?EUR??,,????'?????<
