The 2009 CLARB Spring Membership Meeting is set for February 27-28 in historic Charleston, South Carolina at the Francis Marion Hotel. Highlights of the meeting include educational sessions presented by those who have successfully addressed the kind of challenges and issues state boards of landscape architecture are facing, such as:

  • Establishing an effective enforcement program.
  • Administering and managing mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • The never-ending controversy surrounding the definition of incidental practice and practice overlap.
  • Strengthening CLARB certification standards.

By popular demand, the meeting will also feature an extended session on the L.A.R.E. in which key staff and volunteers will cover everything from exam development to scoring.

During the general session, leaders and staff will give updates on the L.A.R.E., council records, finances and CLARB?EUR??,,????'?????<CLARB.org.

The meeting is an opportunity to give input to the CLARB leadership on the Landscape Architect Continuing Education System (LA CES), a new membership dues structure (based on member input from the 2007 annual meeting), and the exam candidate feedback system. There will also be ample time for individual board reports and discussing regional issues.
