City Park Converts to Xeriscapes

The City of Henderson, Nevada Parks and Recreation Department has completed a turf conversion project at Anthem Hills Park removing 25,000 square feet of non-functional turf and replacing it with xeric plants, decomposed granite, and boulders. The project is part of the department?EUR??,,????'?????< the community.

An additional benefit of the conversion is that it eliminates the problem of irrigation overspray that often reached sidewalks at the park during windy conditions. The project design was provided by the department?EUR??,,????'?????< Parks team.
