Cincinnati Zoo Recognized for Green Practices

The Cincinnati Zoo has a four-acre solar canopy over its concrete parking lot.

 

The Association of Zoos and Aquariums' new Green Award goes to the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden for its aggressive sustainability program that began in 2006. The result is millions of dollars in utility savings and a reputation as a national leader in sustainability.
