A Brevard County, Fla. special magistrate has fined Faith Viera Lutheran Church $1,000 for clearing pine trees from several acres of land without a permit and ordered the church to draw up a new landscaping plan, with some help from their angry neighbors. He gave the church 90 days. The county will also force the church to get a performance bond of about $850 per tree for about 50 to 70 trees. That?EUR??,,????'?????<????????????EUR??,,??s basically an insurance policy to ensure the trees get planted. County staff would inspect the property in a year to see whether the trees survive.
