Chicago Parks Celebrate the Start of the Winter Season

The Winter Solstice Festival will take place at the Chicago North Park Village Nature Center on Saturday, December 17th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Winter Solstice Festival is a delightful opportunity to explore the North Park Village Nature Preserve during the evening hours. The festival includes walks along the nature trails lit by luminaries, a visit with critters from Big Run Wolf Ranch, seasonal music and chestnuts roasted on an open fire. Guests can help create edible holiday ornaments for the animals that make the Nature Center their home.
